As a matter of principle, I prefer the OST (the one played in the movie) to the pop version, simply because the pop version has been stripped of all its context. ‘Let It Go’ in the context of the movie is Elsa’s warped self-discovery moment. ‘Let It Go’ in the context of this music video…why would you even need to have the stanza starting with ‘the snow glows white on the mountain tonight…’?

But it sure is catchy. Same goes for Panic! At The Disco’s ‘Into The Unkown’ aye

Trivia time! The Frozen Broadway Musical takes one stanza from this Demi Lovato version and adapts it into its version of ‘For The First Time in Forever (Reprise)’. Lyrics comparison:
